Basic Phantom model ($75)
This model allows the operator to learn the effect of changing basic settings on the ultrasound machine (depth, gain, focal zone, TGC, presets) on image quality. A cylindrical acoustically dense material is contained in the mid portion of the gel to allow the user to visualize the effects of short and long axis probe positions on image acquisition to appreciate the 3 dimensional value of ultrasound.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Normal Bone ($99)
This model allows the operator to gain basic ultrasound skeletal anatomy skills. A portion of an ulnar bone model is included in the mid portion of the gel to allow the user to increase their knowledge of the acoustic properties of a normal bone.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Minimally displaced Fracture ($110)
This model allows the operator to gain more advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound skills. A portion of a long bone model with a minimally displaced, mid-shaft fracture is included to allow the user to recognize the ultrasound characteristics of a fractured bone and to use ultrasound guided needle placement for anesthetic injection.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Fracture with bony fragments ($125)
This model allows the operator to gain advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound skills. A portion of a long bone model with multiple fracture elements is included in the mid portion of the gel to allow the user to recognize and describe the ultrasound characteristics of a complex fracture with multiple bony fragments and to use ultrasound guided needle placement for anesthetic injection.
Ultrasound Foreign Body Detection ($125)
This model allows the operator to gain advanced ultrasound skills to recognize and localize foreign bodies in soft tissues. Wood, metal and glass foreign bodies are placed in varying locations in the gel model to allow the operator to localize the elements and learn the acoustic characteristics of varying foreign bodies. This model also allows the operator to learn clinically relevant, ultrasound localization techniques such as external marking and needle localization.
Ultrasound Intravenous Access ($140)
This model allows the operator to gain the skills necessary for ultrasound guided venous access. A fluid filled “vein” runs through the mid portion of the gel model. External connectors can be used to fill this conduit for numerous applications. This model allows the user to perform short and long axis visualization of the vein, and ultrasonic guidance of a needle to cannulate the vein.
Custom Ultrasound models (Call for pricing)
We have constructed a number of custom ultrasound models to simulate unique clinical conditions. We have developed musculoskeletal ultrasound models for many anatomic areas (hand, cervical spine, elbow, knee) and can develop new models based on clinical necessity.
